His final form is the closest thing you can get to being a god-on-earth, but his early gear is equally impressive. So Jason starts out as a nobody, but exploring with a flashlight wouldn’t be fun for long, right? My friends, you’re in luck, because over the course of his adventure, Jason will gain access to a variety of futuristic military garb.

Being the brave lad that you are, you decide to pursue her, and your Metroid-esque adventure begins. Unfortunately, it’s not your girl–well it is, but she’s being “escorted” by some soldiers that look like they’re straight out of a sci-fi movie. Soon, you hear footsteps, so like a good boyfriend, you hide. A few minutes later, you discover what looks to be a military based hidden beneath the caves. He decides to find out what happened to her. I know, some guys would be tempted to leave, but Jason is not like that.

Her gear allows you to climb, but unfortunately, there’s still no girlfriend to be found.
ACHIEVEMENT HUNTER SHADOW COMPLEX MAP SERIES
As you explore a series of dark caves with your flashlight, you come across your girlfriend’s climbing gear. Unfortunately, this is no friendly game of hide-and-go-seek. Your daring girlfriend decides to wander off without you, so you’re stuck pursuing your love who you think is hiding. Her childhood memories obviously got the best of her, because she asks you to tag along on a spelunking trip. Shadow Complex’s main character, Jason, shares Samus’ bad luck streak, but in a different way.Īt the beginning of the game, you’re out on a nature excursion with your girlfriend. In Metroid games, you typically start with all your equipment, but somehow, it ends up scattered to the winds. Shadow Complex may draw heavily from Super Metroid, but it somehow manages to turn a fifteen-year old formula into something that stacks up with this generation’s hits. Thankfully, Shadow Complex is neither of those its gameplay actually manages to eclipse that found in many retail titles of this generation. Visuals are an important component of most games, but everyone knows that eye candy is worthless if it’s hiding a broken or generic game. The characters of this sci-fi tale don’t look as impressive as those in Gears of War, but they’re still quite detailed, and they make it difficult to believe that this is a downloadable game. They provide for a convincing setting, and there is no noticeable pop-up or slowdown. Shadow Complex’s beautiful environments consist of futuristic bases, crystal clear lakes, and dank caverns. The dark, gritty environments are unsettlingly realistic, and the characters look amazing. The graphics were developed with the Unreal Engine, and it shows. Everything about this title oozes with personality–from the dark, realistic visuals to the wonderful power-up system, partly inspired by Super Metroid.

Chair Entertainment’s lovechild was crafted with the utmost care, which makes it hard to believe that this wasn’t a full retail game. Overall, a decently geared group should have no issue with 1D Sarth, as long as they know what they are doing.Despite being developed by a relatively unknown company, Shadow Complex puts the majority of downloadable games on all three consoles to shame. Two DPS and a healer Died to flame walls, the healer right before we took down right before we got the Drake down, but it was still a very easy fight that can be two tanked without much issue if you have a Pally tank to keep adds under control. Around 30% on Sarth we lusted a second time and took him down. If you burn CDs on the Drake it makes it very easy to get him down without too much stress, then you can move to Sarth and take him down, it might take a bit with no CD's up, but its still not that hard. We lusted as soon as the Drake came down and burned the drake in a matter of 45 seconds or so.Īfter that it is just a normal Sarth fight. It was a really easy fight, Pally tank picked up adds as well as the Drake. Warlock taking care of the adds spawned by Sarth Druids are very capable of tanking Tenebron, but if the armor debuff gets too great, they will die fast.Įdit: I've got my guilds first Sarth + 1 Kill. Paladin/Warriors are best suited for tanking Tenebron due to their superior AoE abilities. Once Tenebron and the whelps are destroyed, just continue like you would be fighting Sarth without a drake. Lava walls and elementals occur as usual in the fight. Tenebron also has a frontal cone ability, so the OT will have to face him away from the raid while keeping aggro on the whelps. The damage done by them is negligible at first, but they stack an armor reducing debuff where it reduces armor by 1500 per cast. You won't be going into the portal, you should be burning tenebron down ASAP to stop him spawning more whelps. Think of Sarth + Tenebron + Lots of whelps.
